Classic American style fried seafood. Had the calamari, was surprisingly good- not soggy with great marinara sauce. Fried Grouper platter my step mom ate was delicious. High light was the boiled shrimp. Run of the mill bar restaurant with good fried seafood.

Went there with my wife on a Saturday evening in December. The menu had so many advertisements for surrounding businesses, it was like looking through the yellow pages (what's up with that?) The crab legs were decent, but the sides were bland and tasteless. The atmosphere was pretty quiet in the restaurant side. Tacky nautical decor with giant plastic dolphin overhead. Waitress was pretty much phoning it in, and didn't have much personality, or have any good food or drink recommendations. We're in our 30s and felt like the youngest people there by 20yrs. Would not come back.

I love going here for the wings and the oysters. You just can't beat 50 cent wings and oysters. I usually get the dry rub wings which are fantastic. Last time I ordered the raw oysters and they were equally delicious. It is nice to go to a place and know you won't be broke when you leave.

"Claw Daddy's," More like "Flaw Daddy's! I walked into "Flaw Daddys," with the thought that it would be a unique tasting and looking restaurant. Boy was i wrong! I sat down on a bench table, noticing the floors\rugs, and table were all unclean. As im looking at this unique menu, i cant help to hear trickling water. As i look up, i notice this horror of a fountain with flies buzzing in and out, of a stench so horrific i wanted to crawl down and out the door, but i was already there so i had to grub. When the waitress walked up to my table the one question i asked her, "what's the most delicious sandwich on the menu?" As she tells me, " my favorite sandwich is the soft shell crab sandwich." She can be more wrong! Soft Shell Crab should be none as the Soft Shell Crap for how utterly disappointing this sandwich looked. With one look at the the crap ,you would know that it was a frozen deep fried mess. Surely as i bit into it, i slapped the crab back down onto the plate. As i put the sandwich down on my plate. I reached out for the ketchup knowing it was warm, by the lamp it was under. Why in the hell would you put ketchup under a lamp? Can you say "TEMPERATURE DANGER ZONE?" I let that go until i asked the waitress for colder ketchup. The look on her face was like i spoke a different language to her. She came back at me stating that, " There are no cold ketchup, only room temperature ketchup!" By the way, Shipwrecked is not a great decor for the restaurant. Just typing that out there for all restaurant lovers, that this place was not an adventure you'd like to be at! IS THIS RUBBISH OR WHAT? -SpitFire

My wife and I went there on a Sunday for dinner. The atmosphere was like a Hooter's with a seafood theme. The hostess started to seat us in the lounge area without asking first if it were okay. The seats in the dinning area where very uncomfortable like what you'd fing at a long Johns Silvers or Cap'n Dee's. The servers acted like they did not want to be there and the noise from the lounge was overwhelming. I ordered the special which was the blackened Mahi and shrimp. The Mahi was very soggy and had a old frozen taste. The Ice tea was warm even with ice in it. the server as I said seemed not to really care. we ordered wings as an appetizer and came out with the food. The wings had no originality just deep fried then drenched with I think Franks or Texas Pete wing sauce. I doubt I'll be back since I can make better food at home for less.

Recommended by a local, so we trusted his judgement. Eh. It was acceptable, but not great. I had stone crab, I've never had it before, so really cannot compare. It was fine. Fries were obviously frozen. One companion had fried fish which looked to me like frozen fish sticks. Other friend had soft shell crab sandwich, she seemed happy with it. Very affordable; there is an entire page of $4.95 lunch specials. The service was great, and the food was ok, but it isn't a place I'd recommend or return to. Given that there are other seafood options in the area, next time I'd at least choose a restaurant on the water.

It seemed like the night we went that all the specials were only served in the bar.. No exceptions! Most of the food is fried and comes out on the soggy side of crisp. The frog legs were almost like they were boiled. Shrimp did not taste fresh but frozen and a bit over cooked. It will be a while for us to go back especially with all the other seafood places near here..

Worst seafood I've ever had. McDonald's fish sandwich is a step up. Avoid! We were visiting in Crystal River and had been directed to another seafood restaurant, but it was closing in 30 minutes of our arrival, so we looked around for another place. There were lots of cars at Clawdaddy's, and that was our mistake of thinking it was good. I ordered broiled since I don't like fried. Apparently fried is the preferred way here because the broiled seafood I had was bland and tasteless. Neither of us would eat our salad since the dressing was one of the worse we ever tasted and each had a different kind. Seriously, you will eat better food with a fish sandwich at McDonald's. Clawdaddy's is seriously bad.

The iced tea was really weak... almost clear. Ordered the peel and eat shrimp... was asked "cold or hot"... the hot was luke warm, like the cold precooked shrimp was reheated. The cocktail sauce tastes like ketchup they keep on the shelf next to old horseradish and they might look at serving lemon with the shrimp. I saw where the napkins were and that was good since our server didn't realize peel and eat shrimp are messy. Wife had the grouper grilled and it would'a been okay but the recipe included an excessive quantity of a salty seasoning mix that might work on beef but really not fish. The menu stated the grouper is served with "... hushpuppies, potato, vegetables..." Halfway through our dinner, whilst we recalled a good seafood dinner we had earlier this week, we noted the grouper was served sans hushpuppies. Since the servers were too busy chatting to visit our table at that time, I got up and asked ours to leave the conference. When I was asked why the hushpuppies were not served, our server delivered a diatribe about they were being wasted so they simply stopped serving them. I cleverly countered that they are on the menu, to which the reply was " we had a meeting the other night...." Seeing this was going nowhere slowly I asked our server to go get the hushpuppies. Alas when they arrived my wife and I understood why they were going to waste. I bet they keep the precooked "hushpuppies" right beside the cold precooked shrimp. They were served only slighty warmer than room temperature and only resembled hushpuppies in looks. But the service was truly unremarkable. Any requests were initially met with a vacant expression similar to those I've encounter when speaking to non-English speaking persons abroad. The serving staff barely maintained a façade of service and hospitality by barking "... everything OK..." over their shoulder as they dashed by our table. Not sure if it was a question or a statement of their opinion. This was all accented by the servers attire. It was such that is usually only found in the less reputable of crack-infested trailer parks or possibly observed at 2am in a certain local all-night Super discount grocery/department store. It is really a good thing this establishment has a bar... the food and service would not carry this place. Wife suggests the staff and managers should visit a good seafood restaurant... a real seafood restaurant... with real servers... real cooks... oh and real seafood...

You really don't go here for fine dining. With that said, the food here is acceptable, and there are plenty of weekly specials that make it all better. Plenty of buy one get one free drink specials and plenty of specials on oysters and wings. If you don't have high expectations on the food, you will not be disappointed.
